It's an accepted principle that Axiom Films makes independent features and documentaries for both the large and small screen. Axiom Films is involved with projects from financial backing to production and through to distribution and international sales. Its films have all premiered as official selections at well-known festivals including Cannes, Berlin, Toronto, and Venice. Many have been nominated for or won awards ranging from festival prizes to Academy Awards. Axiom Films merged with UKI Films in 2004 via a reverse takeover. Founders Douglas Cummins and Rocio Freire-Bernat control Axiom Films.
