Mission Our mission To work closely with partners to ensure data-driven evidence and analysis are used effectively in policy and practice to end poverty, reduce inequality and increase resilience.
Description Our purpose To apply the power of data and evidence to build sustainable solutions that create an equitable and resilient world.
Development Initiatives was founded in the UK in 1993 on the premise that without better data on people in poverty and the resources that could be helping them, it would be impossible to sustainably end poverty.
Since then, we have worked tirelessly to improve data quality, transparency, accessibility and use, and raise awareness of its vital importance. Today, we have over 60 staff with expertise and passion for the role data can play in ending poverty.
