The company develops software that businesses and government entities use to manage the training of employees, customers, and partners with different needs and learning styles. It offers four software options, as well as TrainingEdge.com, an integrated suite that combines all four. Individually, its Learning Content Management System (LCMS) creates and manages content, delivery, and publishing. Its Learning Management System (LMS) supports classroom, online, and mobile education. Participate is its social business software, while Hot Lava Mobile delivers content on mobile devices. In 2012 OutStart agreed to be acquired by HR software provider Kenexa.
