SIA Engineering Company Limited (SIAEC) takes care of everything on the ground, so airlines can reach for the skies. The maintenance, repair, and overhaul (MRO) company provides aviation engineering services to more than 85 airlines from around the world. It operates through several divisions, including Airframe Maintenance, Component Overhaul, Engine & Engine Component Overhaul, Fleet Management, and Line Maintenance. SIA is involved in over 20 joint ventures in nine countries. SIAEC evolved from Singapore Airlines' Engineering Division, which was formed in 1972. It spun off 20 years later and is today a subsidiary of the airline.
