We believe that if we put quality information on the internet, and if that information is easily understood by consumers, that consumers are less likely to be misled by solar companies and will be more likely to be satisfied with their solar system.
We have already seen a number of instances where comments by our journalists or by consumers posting reviews on our site about unfair or misleading practices have stamped these practices out in the industry. One such example is solar companies offering quotes that do not detail the brand and models of equipment being supplied. (This gives the solar company the opportunity to use cheaper brands to install jobs).
