Description eCopy turns the stacks of paper on your desk into digital documents. The company offers document distribution and integration software that customers use to convert paper-based documents into digital files, which can then be faxed, distributed over the Internet, or integrated into enterprise applications. eCopy's offerings, which work with digital copiers and scanners, include eCopy Desktop (allows individual users to view, edit, annotate, forward, print, and archive digital files) and ShareScan (enables workgroups or enterprises to perform those functions and to collaborate). In 2009 rival Nuance Communications acquired eCopy for about $54 million in common stock.
