A great opportunity to work with great people!
Pros
I worked at ADK Group for over two years as a designer/front-end developer and really loved my time there. Some days, I found myself practically running to work because I really enjoyed the things I worked on as well as the people I worked with. ADK allowed me to sharpen many of my skills and try on many different hats within the organization due to its small size. Dan, the owner of ADK, is very friendly and approachable, often bringing employees into his office just to chat about the business and life in general. He goes the distance to make sure every employee feels included and comfortable at work. The casual, family-style atmosphere in the office really helps everyone feel like they are in it together and employees always have each other's backs, which is important when working with clients of all varieties. I have made some real friends at ADK and I could not be more grateful for the experience I had working there. As a member of the LGBT community, I can confidently say that this is a company that not only accepts but embraces people from all walks of life. Diversity is a core value of the company, which was very important to me as an employee there.
Cons
Sometimes there are very difficult clients to work with who are not very forgiving. Management does its best to protect the employees from these kinds of clients, but sometimes direct communication is necessary. Due to the small size of the company, sometimes there is a lot of work on your plate at one time. However, fellow employees are always willing to help out wherever they can and challenges like that are approached as a group effort.
