Pros

Patient interaction is always a plus.

Cons

Most employees have their heart in their job, but are working in a fear based environment. Questionable medical practices with each patient getting exact same protocol. Not individual based care. Leadership team is a group of bullies- beware. Most PA's are talented and smart. ADVENT easily restructures with little empathy to those that lose their jobs. Coming from the words of the Executive Director- they will get unemployment, so they will be fine. Constant shift in priorities and not enough expertise in areas such as billing, scheduling and addressing patient complaints. Be careful!

We appreciate your feedback and are always looking for ways to improve. As our demand from patient grows, continuing to promote a positive team and patient-care environment is critical. Our providers and team members are the heart of what we do, so thanks for sharing. As a specialized ENT practice focused on upper airway solutions, our area of care can feel narrow compared to other providers who practice more broadly, but it seems to help patients find us when they are having trouble that we can help resolve.

Pros

I’ve worked ADVENT for 13 years; employee number 3, joining the practice when we were just a mom and pop operation. Every one of us were jacks of all trades, doing everything from A-Z to serve our patients. ADVENT is good at recognizing the aptitude to grow with the company- regardless of the experience or industry you come from. ADVENT has given me the opportunity and autonomy to challenge myself to be capable of more than I knew was possible. ADVENT gives this gift of opportunity freely. While growth opportunity is robust, standards and expectations are high, as well. In interviews, I am often asked, “What is the number one thing you would change about the company,” which ironically, is the same answer to the question “What do you love about working for ADVENT?” It’s that we can, in-fact, change anything we want to. At ADVENT, we live a culture where we are constantly looking to hear new ideas, for solutions to be originated and solved at the point of origin, for team members to share what’s working and not working. What I hear so often from family members about their careers is that they know what should be done, or how something can be improved, but it falls on deaf ears or red tape. It puts it into perspective how truly amazing the change-maker culture is at ADVENT. What brings me to work everyday is that we are working towards a higher purpose- helping people live better lives. We truly change lives. Everyday is filled with a new challenge, a new opportunity. Our culture has attracted the kind of people who come to work for PURPOSE.

Cons

While not a con, people should be aware that ADVENT is not the culture for everyone. The culture here is meant to attract those with shared values, and repel those without our shared values. Those values are: ADVENT’s Golden Rule • Uncompromising Excellence • Stoic Maverick Mentality • Sustainability. That does not mean that ADVENT’s values are superior to a team member’s values, or vice versa. It simply means ADVENT is not a suitable environment for everyone. A fern cannot grow in a desert, no matter how much water you give it. That doesn’t make the fern bad, nor the desert, they simply aren’t compatible.

Not an ethical practice.

Pros

Clinical staff is overall nice. But also easily persuaded by fear based management

Cons

They practice cookie cutter medicine. They push their agenda on everyone. Even if it is not in a patients best interest. Their number one motivation is to make as much money off each patient that walks through the door. It was obviously as soon as I got past their fancy waiting room. Also, try to speak up in defense of patient care and you will shot down...or worse met by passive aggressive management. You’ll like it here for 4 months...then their true colors shine through.
