Pros

Nice parking lot and some great places to eat around the surrounding area, when you need to get away from it all.

Cons

Many of the recent negative reviews hit it on the head. That was exactly how I felt before I quit. The recent high scoring positive reviews are complete fabrications by some people who are just trying to put a band-aid on the truth. As one reviewer put it, people like myself suffered from PTSD. Very insulting. I guess we were just supposed to sit back, watch the destruction happen and clap our hands? People left and they were not replaced, adding more workload to the people that remained. Like other reviewers have said, these were the people that did the actual work and kept the company running, regardless of the unnecessary upheaval created by the new management team. We managed for years without those people in control. We could have easily survived another 10 years without any intervention. Our company was strong and we had the best people working for us. I did not know what the motive of the new management was, but it seemed they wanted to let the company drive itself into the ground. They did not care about people leaving and finding replacements and that told me they were just saving money however they could. Employees were obviously more efficient if they could each do the work of 4 people. Maybe they wanted finances to remain in the black to look good for a future sale? It really was not difficult to convince myself to leave. Multiple times my team and many other teams cried out for more resources, but the cries were always ignored. Management refused to acknowledge the low resource issue and always asked for proof with metrics. The metrics were supplied and then the issue was forgotten about for another month. It should not have been a continuous uphill struggle to get resources, but it was. Surely management were not insane, so there was a real reason just to sit back and watch things slowly deteriorate. As a company I had no idea on where they were heading, apart from complete collapse. Glad not to be part of it anymore, but at the time many of us still cared and gave it everything. Very soon all of the new reviews will be positive because none of the remaining employees will have been there for longer than 3 months. From co-workers I hear that the current management team are basically trying to take the credit for the last 30 years, but they only came onboard after 2014. The lengthy success of the company was down to the original owner (Verl Purdy) and his team, many of who were later fired or quit when the new owners took control. Verl was a nice guy and well-respected by the employees. Valued and respected employees also go the extra mile for the success of the company and those that are not just continue to quit. I need to make the point that most of the business managers around that time were female, because we knew how to speak to our clients and how to make great lasting business relationships. Headstrong arrogance does not work but this is what they have now. The whole positive review thing is a complete charade. Believe all of the 1 star reviews and stay away. Someone is not telling the truth. You be the judge. The company used to be great place to work but now it is a total trainwreck.

Hello – Thank you for taking the time to provide us with a review. When individuals leave an organization, we need to evaluate the duties and responsibilities of the employee to determine the need moving forward. As technology evolves and our customers’ needs change , we also need to evolve as an organization, which means determining the business needs as we go forward, and not just backfill immediately. We understand that previous management developed AGDATA to where it is today, and we give them full credit. However the industry as a whole has changed; we need to adapt in order to continue to create value for our customers. Thank you for your feedback, CEO

Pros

The biggest pro about AGDATA is the lower level employees who do the day to day work and try to keep things going. I have appreciated the friendships I have developed amongst co-workers and the "family" type atmosphere that exists amongst those of us who are not management. The level of care and support you receive from co-workers makes the cons easier to deal with, but everyone reaches a point where the stress isn't worth it anymore. The company overall has good vacation benefits , opportunities to work from home, flexible work schedules.

Cons

Upper management disregards lower level employees, some who have been with the company countless years and have tons of industry knowledge, and treats them as if they are easily replaceable. Management has both grown and changed numerous times over the last year, neither of which have proven to be beneficial to AGDATA employees, AGDATA as a whole, or the clients that we service. The clients are becoming increasingly edgy about everything that is going on because deliverables are not being met due to a lack of resources. Management's Response? Employees don't work hard enough, or efficient enough. The facts? Most employees at AGDATA are working countless hours of overtime each week just to maintain the relationships that they have developed with client contacts that they don't want to see fail. These same employees who have built the relationships with clients they provide services for are quite frankly ignored or disrespected in meetings with upper management, told they don't understand what needs to happen, and told they just aren't on board with the "change" that is taking place within the company. Temporary workers have been brought in to fill gaps that have been left by great talent that has left the company. This has caused those that are left to pick up enormous amounts of slack , because AGDATA can't fill positions that have been vacated with permanent, knowledgeable talent.
