Pros

Overall very positive experience. Thoughtful leadership, very flexible. Up to date technology in office.

Cons

No parental leave benefits for new fathers. While there are opportunities for progression, pay seems to be lagging.

Thank you for your review! I am happy to hear that you enjoyed your time at AIR MILES. We take great pride in our Culture, which is the product of thoughtful and empathetic leadership, a strong set of shared values, and purpose. With regards to pay, we work with and review available market data annually to ensure that our salary ranges remain competitive, and we adjust these ranges as required. In addition, we offer many other incentives, benefits, and perks to reward and recognize our Associates for their hard work. We continue to explore ways in which we can offer more flexibility and choice to our Associates when it comes to leveraging benefits and appreciate your suggestion to include parental leave coverage for fathers going forward. I wish you all the best, Dimitri Benak, VP of People and Culture

Pros

Great teams, great collaboration, talented people

Cons

As both a long-time collector and former employee, this isn’t easy to write. Over the years, AIR MILES slowly eroded the trust of its most important stakeholders — first, the collectors. The expiry policy, the confusing split between Dream and Cash balances, and a series of decisions that benefited the business and partners more than the collectors made loyalty feel one-sided. Now, that same erosion of trust has reached employees. AIR MILES was once a culture that put people first — collaborative, energized, and values-driven. Recently, though, leadership’s emphasis on simply having bodies in seats has replaced that vibrancy. The callous rollout of return-to-office wasn’t about rebuilding culture — it's not purposeful. The result? Eroded trust and disengaged teams. It's less inclusive to parents of young children, caretakers, or if you live farther with a long commute that impacts the quality of life. Other forces — like partner exits and market disruption — mattered, but they were symptoms. The core issue was a failure to evolve meaningfully and put the collector first — and, increasingly, to put the employee first.

Pros

- Great office space - People are generally friendly and nice

Cons

- Too many new associates with a loss of knowledge. No one knows the internal processes anymore and there is too much burden on the existing associates to train and share knowledge with everyone across the organization - Overworked - Very demanding from management team - A company that is acting like a non-profit organization - our share price is so low yet they spend money on free lunches for associates and make donations to charities

Thank you for sharing your feedback! I often hear that AIR MILES is made up of friendly people, and I could not agree more. I’m glad that this has been your experience through your tenure with the company. AIR MILES has been through a lot of change as we transform to become a more digitally savvy organization and as such, there are a lot of new team members. I’m sorry to hear that this has created a loss of knowledge and burden for you. I encourage you to have an open conversation with your Leader about how you’re feeling and what support you need to ensure you have the resources and tools needed to do your job effectively. You mentioned the free lunches we offer to Toronto Associates, and the donations we make. Providing perks to our Associates and giving back to our community is an important part of our culture at AIR MILES. We believe Associates are our greatest asset and we are always looking at new and unique ways to reward them. Further, we take pride in offering Associates several ways to give back to communities and charities that they are passionate about, and many take advantage of our programs such as Dollars for Doers, Donation Matching and Volunteer Paid time off as a way to give back in the most meaningful way for them. These are just a few of the programs we believe help make AIR MILES a great place to work. We hope you’ve had the opportunity to check them out. Thanks again, Dimitri Benak, VP of People and Culture

Typical Big Corporation

Pros

Strong brand name and reputation (at least historically). Large analytics department provides opportunities to connect, collaborate, and explore internal mobility. The office is modern and well-equipped, with subsidized lunch as a nice perk.

Cons

Classic big corporate drawbacks—promotions and raises are infrequent and slow, making it hard to stay motivated. Pay does not reflect the workload or market rates. Upper management tends to focus on high-level vision without a grounded understanding of the actual work or what the data is really saying.

Thank you for your review! I’m glad to hear that you are enjoying the flexibility that our remote-first work model provides Associates with, and the full complement of perks and benefits that we offer. I appreciate your perspective on our call center. The frontline Ambassadors in our Customer Care department are champions of our brand and offer support to our Collectors through various channels. While there may be a large number of calls coming in at times, we also have Chat, Social Media and Chatbot options to leverage and provide to collectors to ensure that they are directed to the best and most efficient channels to resolve their issues. Thanks again for your feedback. Dimitri Benak - VP, People and Culture
