Pros

Flexible hours for salaried employees, good vacation sign-on, insurance, 401k match.

Cons

ARI was bought a few years ago by a private equity firm who's only goal is to squeeze every last drop out of their employees before firing them due to "budget cuts" AKA corporate greed. Used to be a great place to work, now morale is down the toilet. No HR team. People are treated like slaves and expected to train their replacements in India, Mexico and Belize. Good American jobs replaced by cheap labor/outsourcing. Management will lie to your face about your job security today and let you go tomorrow. Don't expect this place to be around in more than a few years, the management team is moving to Portland and the rest is retiring. I wish I could say they treat their customers better, but they don't. They lock them into auto-renewing contracts which increase in price yearly, with no notice on how to cancel. The sales team is forced to lie to customers and promise them the world/manipulate them, and when the customer figures it out and tries to cancel, they refuse and will default good, honest small businesses and send them to collection agencies. If I had to describe ARI in one word it would be slimy. If I had to sum up the culture – soulless.

Pros

Good health and dental insurance.

Cons

Management looks at you like you're a number, rather than a valued asset. Our entire digital marketing team was eliminated because ARI bought their largest competitor and their competitor paid their digital marketing team significantly less.

Pros

Always a good collection of characters by the downtown Duluth office. An exciting level of puke on the sidewalks to keep you alert. The people you work with are actually quite nice, though.

Cons

Let's see: Absolutely inferior products that the staff is expected to peddle, coupled with increasing goals every month with zero logic or justification. ARI doesn't actually develop anything new, they just acquire other companies and integrate them into the fold of their existing business with the skills of a bumbling Scooby-Doo villain. Almost no training or continuing education programs or hope for career advancement. When someone quits or gets fired, they just chalk it up to a gain in their books. There isn't even an on-site HR representative, even though one quit about 5 months ago. As long as you get customers into their auto-renewing contracts, that's all they need.
