Pros

The product is well thought out, works well, and is intuitive. The staff at Absorb are competent, and because the teams and roles are so clearly defined, people take ownership rather than pass the buck when it comes to a difficult task. Leadership teams listen and if you have a genuine solution to improve a workflow, or improve customer/employee experience, they will implement it! The work is challenging and you do become extremely busy at times, but because the internal support is so strong, I'm never left awake at night stressing about finding solutions.

Cons

In-person events are quite few and far between because there is no physical office in my part of the world, it can get quite lonely during the work day.

Cons

The organization is deeply disappointing when it comes to personal development and career growth. There appears to be little genuine investment in nurturing employees’ potential, and many managers show minimal interest in supporting long-term progression. Leadership, in some cases, feels disengaged and unaccountable, creating an environment where employees’ professional futures can feel uncertain and undervalued. Rather than recognizing hard work and performance, advancement often seems influenced by favoritism and internal politics. Employees who consistently deliver strong results may find themselves overlooked, while those who focus on ingratiating themselves with senior staff appear to move ahead more easily. This dynamic can be demoralizing and undermines a culture of meritocracy. Additionally, there are concerning perceptions of bias, including instances of favoritism and unequal treatment, which further erode trust. In remote settings, these issues can feel even more pronounced, as transparency and communication are weaker, making it harder for employees to advocate for themselves or be fairly recognised. Overall, the workplace culture can feel unsupportive and discouraging for anyone seeking meaningful growth, fairness, and professional respect.
