I have been working at Accruent full-time for less than a year

    Pros

The quality of the systems (PropTech) are second to none, coupled with the experience, qualifications, latitude, and accessibility to colleagues and management, you will be heard. You are given the freedom to make decisions in your clients best interests to deliver the best solutions for them, not always to the financial advantage of Accruent but as a CSM you will get the best support from colleagues to keep your accounts happy. I go to work with a smile on my face and look forward to spending time with capable, interesting and competent people. The recruitment process is definitely delivering an eclectic but well oiled and cohesive cohort of amazing individuals, I recommend being part of it.

    Cons

Our clients are dotted about the globe and this entails significant travel if you have a young family or a needy partner you may find the commitment necessary to do your job may impact your private life, however it works from me and my family.

I have been working at Accruent full-time

    Pros

Culture of support & inclusivity. Constant opportunities to go in directions outside your role for cross-pollination of knowledge and skills.

    Cons

Pay seems low (but filling this out so I can see that).

I worked at Accruent full-time for more than a year

    Pros

    Flexible schedule, occasional company event

    Cons

The leadership at this company lacks logic or trust in their employees. Decisions are made top down which normally would not be difficult but many key leaders do not understand the business. Because of the ownership that has never run a software company and the number of companies acquired by Accruent there are information silos everywhere and no one has a true grasp on all businesses segments. One person described it best as a “collection of failing parts”. So when new ideas and processes are rolled out company wide they can often have very negative impacts on some segments. Leadership does not care and thinks they know better. The end result is a drastic failure and then fire drill to try and repair the damage with employees going “we tried to tell you”. This process just continues to repeat. Now, exponentially increase this by similar changes made by outside ownership “fortive”. They have very little software experience and have planted leadership from verticals like manufacturing or military. The only thing worse than their misguided approach is their egos. They too have the same mindset of “we know better”. Once again this is quickly followed by a new policy/process that was created in a vacuum with no employee input to fix the previous failed policy. The end result is a high stress, high turnover environment.

I have been working at Accruent full-time for more than 5 years

    Pros

co-workers create morale in their departments; HR provides positive/enjoyable experiences for employees. Because of the company's size, there are numerous job opportunities.

    Cons

Low pay, poor management and untrustworthy senior leadership who takes no responsibility. Leadership blames any negative results on employees and takes no responsibility. It is obvious that management or HR has posted fake reviews on Glassdoor because there are zero positive reviews for leadership except the obvious one written by the company. The CEO has less than 50% approval and it should be worse if not for fake reviews by the company. That says everything you need to know about this company. Everything rolls down from the top.

    I worked at Accruent full-time

    Pros

    - Good foot in the door for other Austin Companies - A lot of initiatives needed so a lot of things to learn and tasks to accomplish

    Cons

    - Management plays favorites and won't really do much to absolve any problems - Management also at times lacked a sense of maturity and enacted many passive aggressive behaviors - Lack of communication and transparency - Underpayment

    Pros

    Work life balance I guess

    Cons

Bad place to work. Low pay, as other reviews have noted. Nobody sticks around at Accruent, average is maybe a year. Not inclusive - entire team would leave for lunch/coffee/whatever and not invite the new people. Micromanagement- all in the guise of “collaboration”, they track every. Single. Thing. Half your job is tracking what you’ve been doing. Management tells you one thing and does another - get ready for weird feedback after they tell you to do something then you get told the complete opposite in your review. No support to do your job - “drink from the firehose” aka here’s your laptop...good luck! Avoid if at all possible as there’s a real culture problem here.

I worked at Accruent full-time for more than a year

    Pros

There are some really talented folks working there

    Cons

When I began, I was sold a culture where everyone who worked hard and identified opportunities for growth would see a path to management. I saw a path to management as I continued to have junior members added to my team, but over the course of a year of conversation around increased responsibilities without appropriate pay grade, I got tired of hearing "we'll try again in a few months" The company does not account for individual employee contributions, and the beaurocratic nature of every process will make your head spin.

I have been working at Accruent full-time for more than 5 years

    Pros

The leadership has changed for the better. We recently got a new President who was the former CRO and he seems to genuinely care about people, and is very personable. He's only been in the role a few months and I've seen a huge improvement in the way the company is run. Accruent is comprised of very intelligent people all over the world who want to make a difference and work together well. The way the teams have handled the situation with COVID-19 has spoken volumes; they seem to really be invested in their employees first.

    Cons

There's a lot of change all the time, but for the first time, it seems to be for the better and is continuing to improve. With the new additions to the C team, I'm looking forward to seeing the company grow and become more focused on our employee base.

I have been working at Accruent full-time for more than a year

    Pros

    - If you do good work, you will get respect no matter what your seniority is. - Work/life balance was pretty good. Unlimited PTO was very nice. - Very flexible with remote work. - A great place to learn. - New Fortive 9 values seems like an improvement to the old company values.

    Cons

    - The org structure is very dysfunctional for a software company. There's no CTO, and engineering and operations are two completely separate entities. The org chart connects the two departments at the President level. Not good at all, considering the company is generally focused more on sales. - Compensation is not at market value. - Turnover is high, largely due to the reason above. Good talent leaves quickly. - Fortive 9 culture is hardly noticeable in the workplace. It's been almost 1.5 years since the acquisition.
