Pros

Paychecks always cleared The employees Potential for travel around the world to various customer sites (depending on position)

Cons

Benefits were sub par. Company always seems to have financial issues, which adds stress. Company preferred to largely hire fresh graduates out of school with no experience (emphasis on cheap labor - would even deem the practice to be predatory). One customer site is toxic (avoid building 80). Guidance of priorities is severely lacking. Not a healthy working environment, especially at the customer site. Very high churn (depending on department) .

ATR has no financial issues. The company has been solidly profitable in 9 of its last 10 years. We hire to fit the explicit requirements of our government customer. Many are new graduates, but others have substantial work experience. Many of our employees working with government personnel are eventually hired by the government, causing turnover for ATR, but positive career opportunities for our people.

Pros

Ray Brancolini and the "young guns" they hire right out of college.

Cons

Federal Contracting A contractor comprised of many former Feds, attempting to garner insider preferential treatment within one Federal Agency. Mismanaged contracts - (Code 75). The company attempts to hire cheap, targeting recent college graduates to support an ever revolving door of employees.

ATR has three operating divisions in diverse fields. Staff working at customer sites are less aware of the activities of other ATR employees. Management does have extensive government experience, which is a positive for serving many of customers well. We hire to meet our customers’ defined needs, which can be for new graduates or experienced people. Many of our hires go on later to government positions. There is no truth to the statement that ATR has taken out loans to keep going. Except for instances when our products division is buying materials for large contracts, we are debt-free.
