Pros

- Decent product - Lots of good colleagues

Cons

Unfortunately I was one of the many people "let go" having served with the company for over two years. In short the business grew way too quickly, the revenue targets set for 2022 are completely unachievable and unfortunately the company has now had to let a large proportion of the sales team go across SDR, AE and Management level. The founders of the business, and particularly the CRO are completely detatched from the reality of the business on a day to day level, and the unmet promises they made to investors now result in heads rolling. To anybody looking at this and considering Adverity as a future employer, particularly in a sales role, don't bother. A maximum of 5% of the sales team are hitting targets this year, and on top of this you have a CRO and new VP of Sales (old one left a couple of months ago) who give you zero room for autonomy with an autocratic style (make more calls, daily deal updates etc...). They genuinely don't care about the people in the team (those that they let go or those that remain), and what was an open and collaborative culture 6 months ago, is now a closed and negative one. Plenty of businesses exist in this space with a stronger strategy, better culture and competent leadership.

Pros

Genuinely good people on the operational level.

Cons

Upper management has unrealistic expectations for target achievements and will then put people on PIP (never seen so many sales people on a PIP at a time) when the team comes way under. Never had a single quarter where target was met since joined the company. Although they pretend to care about their people, Adverity has absolutely 0 concerns about their employees well-being and will get rid of you in a 5-mins Zoom call. Read reviews from 2021 onwards, you will see the company has gone through 2 massive layoffs in the span of 3 weeks. 150+ people were impacted, and given minimal compensation. If they could get away with, they would have paid nothing because that company is so cheap. If you don't want to constantly worry about your job security and wonder what the management team has been smoking for all the bad decisions they constantly make, then I do not recommend you join Adverity.

Pros

An excellent SDR team that all help support each other

Cons

Disgusting management skills and lack of communication! I was made redundant from Adverity by the CRO, via zoom. He neither knew me nor could give me a reason why. 40% of my colleagues also shared the same humiliation as me. Do work ethics exist?
