Cons

C-Level worst I have ever seen, they are out for the quick buck and will not take any prisoners.

Pros

A great product, although showing its age now especially on the web front end. Great work/life balance and attempts are being made to create a social scene. Still lots of great engineers in Maidenhead but their talents are being wasted here.

Cons

Where to start? Management are attempting to solve the lack of focus problem by drawing fake software architecture diagrams. These are being paraded around customers, prospects and employees but bear no resemblance to reality. Engineering is floundering under ineffective leadership with two departments that are physically and ethically so separated they cannot and will not work in harmony. The result is two incompatible software stacks with some badly architected javascript failing to plaster gaping cracks between them. Despite the increasing number of off site planning days at ever more bizarre locations the products continue to drown under technical and maintenance debt. Difficult big technical decisions have needed to be made for years but nobody commits and the ship ploughs on unguided. Communication through the organisation is sporadic and confusing. Dumping two hours of tedious sales and marketing slides on to a disinterested audience regularly

Thank you for taking time to give us feedback. You are correct that our two engineering teams (who have been working on different product lines) need to become one cohesive team. Although both of our product lines have high customer satisfaction, you are also correct that we need to make our products more and more consistent as we deliver our Digital Business Platform product strategy. We recently had an off-site conference for all worldwide product development staff (our first since May 2016). Over 95% of survey respondents enjoyed the event and said it helped to build trust. On working practices, we use scrum which does have daily meetings. We know that scrum doesn’t work for all teams in all circumstance. The key thing we commit to is to use employee feedback to shape how we work, how we meet, and how we deliver. We are confident these changes will help us get to our goals

Pros

used to be a good company.

Cons

Every quarter you have those "all hands" meetings. You listen to politically oriented speeches that are made by the top management. E.g, we ended up a contract with an Eastern European country because "our" investors did not like having us working with a company located in a country that is known to be pro-Russia (well yes it has a border with Russia and the US does not have a military basis there). And because the "investors" do not like Vladimir Putin. So the new CEO found another company to partner with that is from a country that is "pro NATO". Great news... Then we had another one way talk (or call it propaganda) after the Brexit: Sales boss basically said that the British people was too silly to have voted for the Brexit. Too bad for the employees who voted for the Brexit and that were listening this sales, uh no, political talk: you just have to listen and shut up because you are silly anyway. Then, we had the election of Trump that defeated the top management candidate, I name H Clinton. The all hands meeting just came after the election of Trump. The CEO that time said "we won't comment on the election results". Well THANK YOU!
