Pros

Innovative approach to delivering pharmacy services. Senior leaders in corporate office they remain remain passionate about the company mission dispute continuous mismanagement by 2023 new ownership in NY.

Cons

Those who create the most noise get rewarded rather than managed by the new CEO from New York. Prior CEO actually cared about the staff and customers and led with integrity. This appears to be missing since his departure. No merit increases or bonuses. Total micromanagement.

Pros

I worked at the MN location to start, was there for about two years as my first pharmacy job. The people were great, and honestly the only reason I stuck around as long as I did. My coworkers were like family as cliche as it sounds, but when they all quit I didn't really have a reason to stick around.

Cons

Horrible work life balance, was working back to back 12+ hour shifts with little to no time off. Upper management had absolutely zero regard for the wellbeing/morale of staff; actively making changes that further screwed over our team and increased pressure at the hub. The workload was enormous and corporate refused to let us hire more technicians to accommodate because of "budget" so we were constantly behind and employees were not allowed to leave until work was completed, even if it meant staying hours after your shift. There were many many nights where I was going into work at 1:30 and staying past 2 or 3 in the morning to push med totes out for statim to pick up. When corporate would visit the hub they would sooner point out stickers on the floor than actually help come up with solutions for the workload. Corporate would actively complain about overtime and pay, as well as taking away our bonuses despite refusing to hire needed help. Corners were cut to accommodate the workload, some of which were legally questionable including changing dates on rxs coming in on the data side.

Pros

My time at AlixaRx was great overall. It provided a steady income and a strong sense of purpose. The company was a startup founded in 2011 with cool automated pharmacy technology that made you feel like you were contributing to something meaningful. Great coworkers and good opportunities for growth during the earlier years, especially in the 2010s, which felt like a golden age for the company.

Cons

After a corporate takeover by Lilly Scripts, many things changed for the worse, including massive layoffs that ultimately caused me to leave. Leadership felt disconnected from corporate employees and disengaged from — or not in the loop with — the satellite pharmacies. Onboarding and hiring were never strong suits. Better communication and more attention to employees would have made the environment and culture significantly better. Hopefully with new leadership and technology they can find their footing again.
