Complete mess

Pros

Flexibility with hybrid schedule. Work culture.

Cons

Management is a complete mess, and in a company this small, it is felt on every level. They have stayed this size as a company because they don’t believe in employee retention or taking accountability for their mistakes as a business. They are cheap, dishonest and blame everything on the faults of recruiters. They do not invest in good recruiting tools, which is the bare minimum a management should do in this industry. Everything changes constantly (not in a good way) and there is zero consistently or time to adjust to changes. I for see this company not able to stay afloat more than a couple years max. There are a thousand other staffing agencies and you are better off at any other company. They consider cheap pizza catered every couple months to be considered the bonuses/perks of this role. It’s absurdly out of touch.

Pros

IT team is close knit and cares about one another. Hybrid work schedule, and unlimited PTO once you have worked there a year.

Cons

Sigh where to start. Poorest training I have ever had. The majority of recruiters hired are entry level and the federal IT space is a very difficult and niche market to recruit for, with such a lack of training it created a huge disadvantage to recruiters to understand the roles/clients we were filling roles for. Commission is very very low. Lack of trust from leadership and upper management. No room for growth, please do not believe other reviews that state plenty of growth opportunity, there is truly none in the federal space. Very sad how every single employee speaks negatively about the company, it creates a toxic and depressing environment to be in. The office is seriously falling apart. Mold growing all over the place, dog pee stains throughout the office, the ceiling in a part of the building fell in one day, the lower level outside awning has giant ripped holes in it, as well as frequent flooding in the bathrooms. Very gross.

Pros

Gaining experience, bonding with coworkers (before this was frowned upon)

Cons

To be honest, if you are not in a good mental state don’t take a job here. I waited a while before writing this review and I hope it helps someone not struggle like myself and my coworkers. Management severely plays favorites and it is not based on work ethic, they will talk behind your back and then act like you were in the wrong if/when you find out what was said. It’s not just at the highest level, it included account management and HR as well. They have created an environment of talking down or talking bad about employees, and it spread to everyone. What was once a fun, enjoyable place to work became a very toxic environment where people were spreading lies, gossiping, and speaking badly about people like it was literally the “Mean Girls” movie. The favorites can do no wrong. Asking for a merit-based raise (with data to back up your performance) will be denied, while those favored will get a raise despite subpar performance. Incoming recruiting classes have higher base salaries despite established employees actually bringing in money, but this is never addressed well and older employees are treated like “if you have an issue with it you can just leave”. The few good team members they had either left or were let go for (in my opinion) pride related/petty reasons to make more room/money potential for team members that are favored. The commission structure is nowhere near industry standard, and lower pay would be balanced by a laid back environment and good benefits, but they don’t care about providing either any more. “Unlimited PTO” policy was not really so, taking any time off was met with stress and constantly being contacted while OOO.
