Something is going badly wrong

Pros

Good cause. Albeit it one that has lost its way.

Cons

Influence and decision making is not devolved and is limited to senior management. Beyond that there is a very small group who continue to survive who have input beyond their status just because they're close to senior management. Over the past 2 years, entirely through mismanagement, the most talented members of fundraising have left. The org willfully refuses to improve and instead thinks that going backwards is the key. If you've repeatedly seen Animals Asia jobs advertised and you wondered why there are so many - it's not because they're expanding - it's because people are getting out.

Pros

Great cause. Interesting. Some nice staff members.

Cons

Bad communication. Dictatorial. No communication between higher management and staff. Money not used where it could be. Difficult to attract high level donors. Directors do not listen to staff. Not very run overall. High staff turnover.

Pros

This charity is filled from top to bottom with people whose dedication and passion are beyond extraordinary. We are united by a genuine, burning desire to end cruelty to animals and it brings us together in a way I have never experienced before in any other charity. It really is changing the world and future for animals in Asia and that is enormously rewarding. There is also a genuine concern for the welfare, wellbeing and career development of the people that work here. Leaders are culture shapers and you could not find a more compassionate, dedicated or inspirational CE than Jill Robinson.

Cons

The organisation is ambitious and growing which inevitably brings change and some challenges. However, the charity is really taking this seriously and working hard to listen to employees to make Animals Asia even better in the future.
