      A Job, Not a Career.

      Pros

      Benefits were great, slowly reducing the benefits over time. Compensation is average.

      Cons

      Employees are hired for butt in seats positions (Staff augmentation). Benefits seemed to constantly decrease.

      Sorry to hear these concerns. We strive to have the best bennies in the community. Admittedly, as sequestration rates and business cycles and LPTA occurred we adjusted (as little as we could) to remain able to retain our customers. Please let us know where we can get more competitive. Our clients provide cutting edge national technical means and national security mission solutions with advanced clearances. These jobs are the golden ticket in the DMV area for salaries and opportunity. If your butt got/is caught in a seat that doesn't fit...please reach out to your PM. We want you to be an APOGEEnius, not an APOGEE-i need to look for a new job :)

      Pros

      Chris is awesome, but he only hires people he knows and of course thats a benefit to those who know him. Environment seems like a nice place to work.

      Cons

      Dont be part of HR or Finance. The finance person is rude. The HR person comes out nice ,but working with her you realize she is a hypocrite. Avoid those people.

      Thanks! Hmmm, although we have grown both our HR and Finance teams since this post, I am surprised to hear you had a bad experience with the Apogee backoffice. They are awesome too! Apogee has a very transparent performance management process and a forum based management structure where we strive to let all voices be included and heard. If you have an example of different treatment and especially belittling, I would like to fix that. Thanks, Chris

      Best Job I've Ever Had!

      Pros

      Fun environment, great coworkers, middle of the road benefits, but the 401K matching is really good. Best part is management, they really let you take your career where you want to go. You feel valued, which is huge & pay is pretty competitive

      Cons

      Some of the benefits could be a bit better, but otherwise I don't really have much by way of cons

      Let us know what benefits could be better. We strive to have the best in our industry: 401(k), Profit Sharing, HSA company funded, low health care premiums, free life insurance, pet insurance, dental, LTD/STD, $1000 Mobility Bonus, ... :)
