The people are nice but the company seems directionless and lost, partially because the AI landscape changes every week and its hard to figure out where you can add value. They're laying off and outsourcing everything. It seems like they're out of money and scraping by. The AI bubble might be popping as all the big companies are probably developing their LLMs internally and cutting out companies like Appen. Meta buying Scale and then freezing AI hires is probably a really bad sign. It's also likely that most companies will cut back on AI because they lack the energy infrastructure. I wouldn't be surprised if they file for bankruptcy by next year and/or get acquired by a tech giant and cleaned out. I would avoid if you're looking for American/Australian salary. If you're in India or the Philippines it might be fine for a bit.

It's quite concerning to see frequent layoffs, especially when they involve key roles. It raises questions about the long-term stability and strategic planning of the organization.
