I had high hopes when I joined Applanix, but my experience turned out to be deeply disappointing. The work environment is toxic, with a culture that values internal politics over actual talent and expertise. Hard work and technical skills are often overlooked in favor of favoritism and biased decision-making. Leadership is disconnected from the realities of the job, and instead of fostering growth and collaboration, they enable a culture where capable employees are undervalued and underappreciated. Efforts to contribute meaningfully are often met with resistance or outright dismissal. If you’re a professional looking for a place that recognizes skills, supports career growth, and values innovation, Applanix is not the place for you. Until major changes are made at the leadership level, the company will continue to drive away its most talented employees.
