Disappointing on many (27, perhaps?) levels

Pros

Team at Partner level is very experienced, particularly in the Telecoms and Software sectors. You can learn a lot from them. FinTech team, in my opinion, is very weak relative to them.

Cons

Ask any - and, I emphasise, any - recruiter or former Arma employee and you'll hear horror stories about Arma's culture. It is the worst of the worst. Expect to have no weekends off, expect to have to work when you're on annual leave without exception, and expect to be threatened point-blank if you question it - "Either finish the model by Monday, or feel free to walk out the door". The most extreme example of this is a colleague who was planning his own wedding but was forced to reschedule it or quit... he chose the latter. Another current Arma employee was forced to fly back to London from his honeymoon. The firm employs the 'use/exploit/abuse and throw' model, meaning employees are routinely fired without notice for no obvious reason only because the firm can hire 10 interns instead of them for a third of their salary. Highly sexist and aggressive environment, with 1 female banker in London (out of ~60). Unlike most other banks, you get taxed on meals and Uber journeys home. This adds up given it's 40%. Base salary at junior level is competitive, but expect to be lied to or deceived with your bonus. Arma may not pay it at all. Base salary at mid/senior level is quite poor - and that's also where the deception and lies really kick in. I expect the firm to be sued soon, either because it treats its employees like dirt or because it cheats them over when it comes to pay day.

Cons

You won't have time to visit the bars! Analysts overworked and get no training, the best are hired from other firms Sexist, male dominated environment
