Pros

Below partners, everybody is friendly and easy to work with. Very social group. Moderate hours and not much travel because you do not have much contact with real clients.

Cons

Digital solving leaders do not listen. They tend to do all the talking and interrupt you. There's no diversity in the partners. I only saw white males. The London office works in silence all day long. This is strange for a digital group trying to work in a modern way. Spend most of your time doing research on Google and building really long decks. The company web sites are confusing.

The various "Digital" group work on different content / topics; one of the group is develkopping Digital Problem Solving, other work around organization transformation into Digital Companies. This is different and requires different skills and knowledge.

Pros

- As a junior you get a lot of client exposure and get to work with experts / partners directly leading to a very steep learning curve from the very beginning. - ADL is a bit smaller than the other big names in the company which is a huge advantage I believe. Everyone knows you and you know everyone; you are not just a number. - There's a very 'open' spirit and you feel management trusts you. They are very flexible as long as you get your work done. - You feel valued for the work you do, and this is translated in fast promotions (if you are good) - The work is very interesting and ADL has a very strong position and expertise worldwide in some practices (e.g. Telecoms practice) - Very entrepreneurial mindset: if you have an idea or want to pursue an opportunity they will encourage and support you.

Cons

The company is much smaller in the US than in the rest of the world so there are less opportunities there.

Pros

Oh, the Places You'll Go! You'll get a lot of diverse and interesting cases - I've seen a Business Analysts present to CEOs and work on a separate case for an IPO in one week. Great people (I mean really diverse experience - not your usual 98% of staff with Business and MBA degrees). Going private (i.e. being partner owned once more) has made a huge difference after 10 years with Altran. Tend to work smart rather than boiling the ocean - makes a significant positive impact on work-life balance.

Cons

ADL is very lean. You won't get a lot of support here (unlike say in McK or BCG) so your team will have to do your own "deep analysis". Hours are long (but probably better than in most top tier firms).
