Pros

You get a paycheck.

Cons

Everything else. Small company owned by religious people who are hypocrites. They don't want to pay for quality and have young kids with no life experience, work experience or education working for them. They get what they pay for and it shows in the constant upheaval of the culture there. Terrible place to work. It was so bad that every month, on the anniversary of my last day, we celebrate.

Pros

A very professional place to work, treated well. The work was challenging and helped me grow considerably. Everyone was very friendly and overall, I enjoyed my experience there and it definitely made me a better programmer.

Cons

Sales department refused to ever say no to a customer, no matter how ridiculous the demand. Priority jobs would get dropped on the development team at the last minute with little regard. Sales always seemed to get out the door on time, but only after they dumped more work on the development team.

Pros

Not a lot of job-specific experience was required upon initial hiring, interesting and engaging meetings, fun activities, opportunities to move up and/or flourish, learn and experiment with some emerging technologies, paid time off, flexible schedules, health-oriented, not very abrasive, nice values.

Cons

Progression and advancement is somewhat slow, salary seems somewhat less than ideal, technologies used by clients may be more or less antiquated, cross team communication and project management could be improved
