      Great at first, then worked to death

      Pros

      Location is great and some coworkers. Technology has great potential to be huge.

      Cons

      Quota is always an issue as it is adjusted before payday and after the sale is done. If you are a great sales rep then this will definitely hurt your final pay. They will go to extremes to pit you against your team mates and pay the person with the lower commission rate. There's no marketing team to help and most of their customer claims are downright false. Encouraged to lie about how many customers we actually have.

      I think this is mistakenly posted for us. Probably for another company. We do not 1. adjust commission after sale is done. 2. Make reps compete for lower commission rate. 3. Tell anybody how many customers we have (that's a confidential)

      No growth potential, as this company has been the same size for 20 years and their business practices were very nonstandard.

      While we are always sorry to see a long time employee who clearly learned a lot be head hunted and transfer his accumulated knowledge to a competitor, BCL resumed its growth after his departure. With all the training and experience at BCL, we expect he will do very well at any technology intensive company.
