        Pros

        Amazing people working with you

        Cons

Bark incentifies referring friends to work which is a double edge sword: - you've got to work with your friends, but; - there's no seniority ( all the agents are young, and usually, it's their first office job) You're being micromanaged every day, Pay is low; commissions are low and hard to get since you're expected to answer 126 emails or calls daily, so there's hardly any time to sell. You have to do everything: take calls with customers' poor experiences, and partner's complaints, introduce new customers to the platform, explain to non-tech-savvy users how to add a picture or press a button, rarely you take a non-angy or not complaining call. No way to progress within the company or get a rise. Job is tedious, and you fix the same issues every day. At every company event, you hear how Bark is growing 40% year on year, but you never hear anything about a rise.

            Pros

            - the perks and culture of wellbeing - amazing socials and small thoughtful events regularly such as smoothies and platters, snacks that people like within the team, - the office manager is great - gym pass - shares - l&d budget to use on whatever your interests are - insane parties woop - lots of opportunities to shape the kind of career you want in life

            Cons

            - lack of processes and structure but again, we are on this learning curve together and laying a lot of these processes for the first time. - there isn't much in terms of coaching and development - you learn LOADS but its often by figuring it out yourself and being thrown in the deep end. Not mad as it sets you up really well for a future role but actual mentoring would be so appreciated.

              Pros

The people who work here are incredibly smart and ambitious with a great helpful attitude but unfortunately this does not extend to everyone.

              Cons

History of the role has always being deprioritised Minimal diversity in senior roles (gender and race) and this was reflected in set expectations in comparison to peers Information was intentionally gatekept and there was clearly a mishap in lines of communication Managers/SLT saying offensive things in meetings/Slack One or two senior people who have been in the business a while are resistant to change Lack of feedback which created unknown and unshared expectations No clear business vision or strategy No feedback culture or existing HR processes

                  Pros

Unfortunately, my experience when leaving bark.com has overshadowed any pros.

                  Cons

My experience when leaving bark.com was not a good one. The finance department never issued me with my P45 form. Despite following up numerous times and being told that the finance department would send the form out to me, I still never received it. As a result, I have experienced many complications which has impacted my financial stability. It is a legal requirement for an employer to issue a P45 to workers who are leaving the business. The fact that bark.com never issued my P45 shows how unprofessional, unreliable and disappointing they have been as company. Unfortunately, it has soured any positive experience I have had at the company and I am still experiencing the financial consequences going into the new financial year. It seems as though when employees are on their way out, professionalism and standard employee rights are thrown out of the window. Really disappointing.

                    Pros

                    - Hired many young people at a similar life stage - Fun parties where you get to live like a millionaire for the night - Working with people and clients from all over the world *Anyone considering applying here, please take all reviews from current employees with a grain of salt. Management requested employees to complete Glassdoor reviews while we were in the office WITH management there (and still needing to be employed to pay our bills).*

                    Cons

                    - Unsupportive and toxic work culture - Managers and leads regularly turned a blind eye to sexual misconduct - Management take advantage of young staff starting out their career by expecting them to take on additional responsibilities for free - Encouraged staff to come into the office and attend workplace parties during COVID - I do not believe management are considerate of welfare of staff in any manner - Management dishonestly promised sponsorship and the same promotion to multiple employees. - Illegal drug use and excessive binge drinking at work parties which led to sexual misconduct by one of the highest members of management to junior sales staff - No encouragement for development or growth - The most toxic work environment I have ever been employed - The day to day was relatively mundane and not challenging - Barely livable wage for London

                        Pros

After being made redundant last year, I joined Bark and I can say it's one of the best decisions I've made. The team is fantastic and I've been given the opportunity to own the hiring processes in certain areas of the business. I've worked alongside some very senior people in the business and they've been very supportive in helping with our hiring efforts. The targets I've been set are realistic and the opportunities to develop are great (£1,000 annual L&D budget). New office looks good and is in a convenient location for most people living within London

                        Cons

Nothing I can think of right now. So far, so good!

Do you experience that how long the hiring process would take at Thermo Fisher? I got my second interview with hiring manager at the beginning of November but I haven’t heard nothing from them. When I’ve emailed them to check in they just said that the process would be slow, no time frame. I would be able to get an offer soon from other company but work as contractor. Should I wait for Thermo Fisher?

                      Alex L.

Applied for a job a few weeks back, got a call from HR yesterday morning about an interview next week. She mentioned she'd shoot me an email with all the interview details, but so far, my inbox is empty. Assuming I'll hear from her early next week, is it normal for them to expect me to show up for an in-person interview on short notice, like couple days?
