Confusing and unstructured

Pros

Most of staff are dedicated to client wellbeing

Cons

No structure. Was forced to do tasks not within my scope of practice. Schedule was only a guide line. Was asked to come in early, and told to leave for a split shift. There are constant changes and many are for betterment of one person, or a small group of ppl that are favored by executives.

Good pay, terrible job

Pros

Pay, coworkers (peer level), and you really do feel like you're making a difference in someone's life.

Cons

Do you enjoy being afraid to simply do your job every step of the way? Do you enjoy being watched like a hawk on cameras that are supposedly there for your safety? Then this is the place for you! Benchmark Transitions is a terribly managed company with great ground to mid level workers. It's an unfortunate combination. This company has a group of executives that will micromanage every aspect of your job. These executives will micromanage your clinical and even medical decisions despite their personal lack of any sort of license to do so. The turn over rate is unbelievable. You will be expected to do shady things like - work through your brakes (even when you clock out), read your e-mails off the clock (even if you're hourly), and do things that were most definitely NEVER listed in your job description. Don't expect to be trained if you work here. Don't expect for your lack of training to be a valid excuse in the eyes of management. If it hadn't been for the pay, my peers, and the occasionally cool client, I'd have never stayed. All of this isn't even covering the emotional toll it takes when you work in this sort of industry - but I'd say that goes with any employer in this field.
