Pros

Money was good, and there are some decent people on the ground (while they last)

Cons

Literally everything else about that place. CEO refuses to be considered as a 'woke' company (true quote btw), all of the ERGs shut down as they don't meet 'company narrative'. Don't expect to be treated like a human being, especially if you're a minority in engineering. Lost count of the number of times this place made me angry as heck, or just flat out cry. After lay-offs last year the company has been slowly and silently letting people go, people just disappear from slack and we were never allowed to talk about it. The company's bottom line is more important than your mental health, so if you want to keep your head down, or brown nose every meeting then this is the place for you. Otherwise - run.

Pros

There are some brilliant, smart, dedicated and passionate humans in the business. A select number of inspirational leaders truly care about their people. Lots of opportunity to drive improvements and have an impact. Autonomy is encouraged and communication is very direct so you know where you stand. Work from anywhere is a great benefit.

Cons

This is the most business first & single Founder led company I have ever worked for and sadly employee experience & wellbeing is a very late after thought. Having gone a full year without investing adequately in the People fuction and with no People champions having a seat at the all important exec table ~ the impact is being felt. People are doing all they can to keep up with the constant changes in leadership, staff, direction, expectations and ways of working however it's exhausting. Yes change is normal within fast growth startups but not in such a frenetic, single minded, disjointed and forceful manner. Collaboration and cohesion are lacking throughout and growth by acquisition has naturally caused its challenges. C-Level leaders have recently joined from very large corporates, and naturally bought their "A team" in; a culture clash and US centric style and approach is developing which just isn't for everyone, nor what many signed up for.

Pros

Colleagues that i work with are great people

Cons

There is a clear lack of trust in senior management in the company. You're expected to pick up the pieces of processes that they've torn apart.
