Great place to work

Pros

A great environment, lots of collaboration, team efforts. Working on the cutting edge of technology. In general, a good balance of work to life is supported. Great coworkers, lots of fun and exciting projects.

Cons

At the time I worked there, there was little emphasis on emotional growth and maturity and sometimes projects suffered from the inability of management to address conflict head on and in a meaningful way.

A unique opportunity

Pros

Unique projects, great lab space, many very educated people to learn from, young workforce, supportive of many outside activities, always an opportunity to learn new things.

Cons

Overall, a very, very stingy company. Salaries are significantly below industry standards. Raises are yearly (typically in the spring) and tend to be cost of living only. Suffers from a nasty political climate.

Great people, but STAY IN YOUR LANE

Pros

- I personally worked with absolutely wonderful people - There was a real team effort made for the team I worked with - I was provided with whatever tools I needed

Cons

- Great people, but STAY IN YOUR LANE! - You need to SERIOUSLY censor yourself while working at this company. - You don't want to work somewhere boring, understandable .. but if you're a goofball and love to have fun at work, do not by any means show your true colors. - Just know, the company has snitches, everywhere. There are some people who work there that just snitch for a paycheck. You seriously have to stay buttoned up otherwise they will let you go based on the smallest thing that no one else you work with agrees with, including your managers. - I felt VERY welcomed by my co-workers HOWEVER, the people in charge (HR/People Ops) don't seem to care about literally anything but blaming the wrong person. The HR/People Ops team there has even gone as far as releasing confidential information and creating an unsafe work environment for an employee who went to them seeking help. Naturally, they don't see a problem in doing so. They're more aggravated at the fact that they had to 'waste their time' looking into something that they didn't feel like finding an answer for even though evidence was presented and interviews were conducted. - People Ops/HR/ whoever it may be, doesn't take time to actually look into any issues that arise. Especially if these issues are dealing with anyone of some sort of status within the company. - If someone of authority does something that should be dealt with, they turn a blind eye and simply slap them on the wrist. And we're talking regardless of the severity of the issue at hand.
