As evidenced by the other negative reviews (not written by cofounders), this is less than an ideal place to work in any function. Some highlights:
-"Executing" on a vision unquestioned and unchanged for years. As mentioned elsewhere, the product is designed for a userbase of millions (and user scaling plans are never discussed)
-Incredibly weak leadership team. "Failing upwards" is a phrase that comes to mind here.
-Product viability is never examined, standard software development practices ignored. Whoever is the loudest usually gets his or her way ultimately.
-As mentioned elsewhere, HR practices are indeed abhorrent, especially in recruiting candidates for roles. Be VERY careful here.
-Favoritism and arbitrary promotions to less-than-qualified people causes internal conflict and poor team cohesion.
-Incredible defensiveness and sanctimony when product or business roadmaps are challenged; not a lot of room for new ideas or collaborations
