I have been working at Brown-Forman part-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

Brown-Forman is everything you want from a large, global employer, with the caring, relationship-based culture common in family-owned businesses. The company has impressive, competitive benefits and compensation; a commitment to work/like integration; well-known brands (Jack Daniel's, Woodford Reserve); a commitment to growing employees' capabilities and careers; a strong focus on diversity and inclusion -- all with colleagues that challenge you, stretch you, care about you, and laugh with you!

    Cons

Brown-Forman is a flat organization and makes balanced, thoughtful decisions. This means we have to be innovative, patient, focused, and savvy. This could prove frustrating for employees who are looking for a fast-paced culture with constant change -- but it pays dividends for those that recognize and value a long-term perspective.

    I worked at Brown-Forman full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

    - Great benefits, great people to work with and quite a lot of flexibility
    - Informal dress code, relatively new tech - fully embracing G-Suite
    - Regular town hall events, lunch&learns, initiatives and many free meals and bottles to take home
    - Allowance for merchandise and spirits

    Cons

    - Undergoing changes so a lot of uncertainty
    - Workloads not balanced very well - some people quite bored
    - Not many opportunities to progress upwards - teams mostly consist of interns and experienced managers

    Advice to Management

Basics need to be done better, develop people in their roles if there aren't any opportunities for upward progression. Keep up with the good stuff you are already doing.

    I worked at Brown-Forman full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Good products and brands, interesting industry, family company, good initiatives at corporate level

    Cons

Too tolerant to employees that do not perform their jobs properly or with bad behaviour (theft, drinking prob. ,harassment), advance opportunities not for all just if you get along with certain employees, flexible time not for all (even though is possible, i.e. back office positions), people don´t feel secure to report these type of things they prefer to leave if they can . Benefits are not competitive with current competitors they are comparing just vs Guadalajara companies when main competitors has their key personnel in Mexico City.

    Advice to Management

Do something for improving the environment, you are losing good employees
