I have been working at Brown-Forman part-time (More than 8 years)

    Pros

Brown-Forman is, without a doubt, a best-in-class employer, including within its local community, among the global beverage alcohol industry, and even in comparison to the world's most recognized and celebrated employers. On every dimension -- culture, challenging work, employee benefits, diversity and inclusion, leadership, employee development, work/life integration, recognition, corporate responsibility -- Brown-Forman excels. If you are looking for a place where you will be challenged, where you can make a difference and deliver great work, and where you can feel a sense of pride in the company, its products and its people, Brown-Forman is for you!

    Cons

Brown-Forman employees must have patience and a long-term perspective, recognizing that everything the company does is balanced, thoughtful, and deliberate. This sometimes frustrates people who want a work environment that is more "fast paced" or "cutting edge." If you take the time to understand and appreciate the Brown-Forman culture, you'll reap the rewards.

    I worked at Brown-Forman full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

    - Great benefits, great people to work with and quite a lot of flexibility
    - Informal dress code, relatively new tech - fully embracing G-Suite
    - Regular town hall events, lunch&learns, initiatives and many free meals and bottles to take home
    - Allowance for merchandise and spirits

    Cons

    - Undergoing changes so a lot of uncertainty
    - Workloads not balanced very well - some people quite bored
    - Not many opportunities to progress upwards - teams mostly consist of interns and experienced managers

    Advice to Management

Basics need to be done better, develop people in their roles if there aren't any opportunities for upward progression. Keep up with the good stuff you are already doing.
