Pros

1. Bulk MRO treats everybody like an owner, not an employee. Everybody is given stock options and a say in large decisions. 2. I've been working with Bulk MRO since the pre-funding days. The ease with which I can talk to the founders is something I haven't experienced before. The founders of the company are always on the ground to help resolve your issues. 3. Suggestions are always taken into consideration and implemented wherever possible, no politics. 4. The culture encourages second chances. We don’t fire people. If you take things positively, you're given an opportunity to better yourself. 5. Access to large swaths of institutional knowledge. People get to experience multiple departments and lines of work in their day-to-day tasks. 6. Bulk MRO is a tech-obsessed company using in-house and outsourced technology. The core is SAP and a custom-made ERP system. Use of new and improved tools is encouraged daily. There is heavy investment in tech to make people's jobs easier. Overall I'm proud of the work I do and completely satisfied with my job!

Cons

Bulk MRO is a start-up. Being a startup, there are off days. Things sometimes break, clients sometimes yell, and processes sometimes need updating. If you're dynamic and adaptable, you fit right in. If you're not, you may struggle.

Pros

none, just timely salary and none

Cons

they have a BPO/ call center type of Environment. They have NO technology leverage, just like a trading company. heading Sales are B.com background, not any Engineers and they want to hire Engineers and Tier-B schools! They don't even know what they are selling. Just opened offices.

Dear ex-Owner - We regret that you felt this way while working with us. We wanted to clarify the 3 points that you've raised: 1) At Bulk MRO, we are building a full stack supply chain platform - something that hasn't been built before in India. It by design is something unique and innovative and hence not similar to a standard BPO set-up that has fixed processes, roles, & responsibilities, and lesser growth opportunities vis-a-vis our high-growth set-up. 2) Our robust tech platform enables us to solve the critical supply chain problems for our 250+ clients, many of whom are Fortune 500 companies. We are using advanced tech tools to build this in-house platform to provide an end-to-end solution for our clients. We've also been awarded the "Procurement Digital Transformation Partner of the Year" Award at Technology Supply Chain Awards 2019 and selected as the top 30 high potential tech startups in India (Tech30) at TechSparks by YourStory - a large reason for that is our tech platform. 3) We are a meritocratic organization and we believe in having owners with strong intrinsics in our team. Degrees to some extent do matter, and we are lucky to have a great mix of owners with high pedigree (Wharton, IIT, ISB) as well as owners who are rockstars in their fields but not from reputed academic institutions. We take a holistic approach towards hiring and grooming our owners rather than just focusing on their academic degrees. It would have been great if you could have let anyone in the leadership team know about the issues you faced. Our owners are always encouraged highlight their concerns and we promptly help clear them out. We wish you the best in your future endeavors and hope you'd be a proud alumnus of Bulk MRO.

Dear ex-Owner - We regret that you felt this way while working with us. We wanted to clarify some of the points you've raised: 1) We've heavily invested in training the team in the last few months - some of the trainings that we have conducted for our owners are - Imports/Exports, Customer Handling, Supplier Management, Pricing, Procurement best practices, Task Management, Excel, etc. 2) While as a startup we are still making our processes more robust, we've have professional processes in place across the board for all relevant aspects of the business. 3) We give our owners the freedom to move around into roles basis their career interest and performance eg. an owner requested us to move her from the admin to the logistics team because she felt she would grow more there. We made that transition possible for her and she is flourishing in that role - it was a win-win. 4) We are growing fast. As the firm grows, the owners across ALL teams (and not just one team) also grow with the firm - be it in sales, procurement, tech, accounts, logistics, HR or even Admin. 5) While a few owners have left us in the last 2-3 months, we have 50+ owners who have been with the firm for more than 2 years, who see ample growth and learning opportunities here. Also, we 30+ owners have joined us this in the last 3-4 months and with our expansion plans, we'd become 2x of our team in the next 1 year. We are hiring some great folks who are excited about our mission and want to hustle and build this business. It would have been great if you could have let anyone in the leadership team know about the issues you faced. We are sure we would have helped clear them out. We wish you the best in your future endeavors and hope you'd be a proud alumnus of Bulk MRO.
