I have been working at Bupa full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

    Work environment
    Great colleagues
    Value-driven business
    On site facilities
    Benefits
    Career opportunities
    Work/life balance

Bupa is a place where you are responsible for your own career. If you want to grow, and have the work ethic to do it, you can get to anywhere you want. Performance in-role comes before anything but, if you do well, the world (literally) really is your oyster.

    Cons

The role of a Renewals Advisor is a challenging one
Bupa is an old organisation and could sometimes move faster
Risk tolerance is low due to regulation

    Advice to Management

For the most part, Bupa is a great organisation and looks after its people better than any other I have seen. My only advice is to take a few more risks. Some will pan out, some won't, but true growth can only be achieved if we are ready to be pioneering and to venture into new territory.

I have been working at Bupa full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

The biggest benefit for the Bupa placement programme is that you join with 15+ other students; this gives you a network of peers from day one.

Another major benefit you get working with Bupa is the flexible working. As long as you work your contracted hours, it is optional what daily hours you do and where you complete them.

Bupa being a healthcare company also comes with many perks; I joined one month ago on the placement scheme and have already had a free flu jab, dental check up, heavily discounted hygienist appointments and the offer of generously discounted insurance.

Bupa offer two six month rotations, hence I am getting much more exposure than most of my friends on other placement schemes.

The salary is also very good for a placement (£21,000 in 2018)

    Cons

As i have only been here a month, I haven't really noticed any downsides. Long hours can be expected in busy periods but you're likely to get this in most jobs.
