Pros

The people. Folks are market experts and very willing to teach if you’re curious.

Cons

Senior Management/CEO decision making is not always transparent or logical, being called a “family”, retirement plan and vacation allotment are below industry (among Canadian regulators).

Pros

This job is a great career stepping stone. You gain experience by seeing the internal processes and controls of many different dealers. It is a good way to learn how various firms operate and network with them before moving on to your next role.

Cons

Compensation is below industry standards for the amount of work required. Tracking time on daily timesheets is tedious and micromanaging. Management is building AI to automate exams, which creates uncertainty about future job security. The company is facing multiple class-action lawsuits due to the 2025 cybersecurity incident.
