Toxic Environment and Insecurity

Pros

Mission is on the patient, which is spot on. Cupertino office is located in a nice area. Office is modern and well equiped.

Cons

Toxic atmosphere and insecure mindset caused by: 1) forced departure of several well qualified and respected employees after new executive management team took over in 2011. 2} abrasive and unfriendly interaction by some of the new executive team with the long-term employees 3) employees struggling with full work loads given more tasks by new team.

money, but only if you're in management.

Cons

If you're not senior management your head is always on the chopping block. Senior management uses sledge hammers to swat flys. Over-reaction is the norm. Front line staff are mocked by senior management.

CRC Health does help people, but needs to do a better job of supporting their employees

Pros

They have programs that help a lot of people through difficult problems. If you want to work in the helping fields they might be one of your only options. Line coworkers have big hearts.

Cons

Employees are given a lot of responsibility, very little support, then blamed when there are problems. Sort of the McDonalds of treatment, but I think McDonalds does a good job of training their people, CRC Health not so much. There is a disconnect here as CRC Health runs programs that help sames people's lives.
