Great place for continuous development, highly supportive of inventions and encouraging inter-team movement to gain new skills and business experience 4. Good benefits, with enhanced flexible working a highlight

      Cons

      Trade-off of being key R&D global site but with it not being HQ, reality is limited influence at global company strategy and priorities. Never shortage of interesting tech work though.

      Culture: open, respectful, values employee development, real flexible working (and treated people very well during COVID) People: smart, friendly, supportive Work: valuable, technically challenging (medical imaging, with a variety of AI, prototype applications, etc.)

      Cons

      * It's sort of an in-house sub-contractor, albeit with lots of influence on related companies, so not always close to real customers (but, insulated slightly from commercial pressures). * More component/project work than product (which may be a "pro" or "con" to you). * Being part of a large corporation can mean a lot of inertia to change things at higher levels, and sometimes less-than-perfect alignment between teams in other group companies. * Software development practices are a bit outdated in some teams I worked with.
