Other assistants , especially those who have been there for many years and are part of the furniture create an awful working environment for the other assistants. - especially the new assistants that start. It starts off well but they are all backstabbers. The worst part is the manager of the assistants - she pretends to care, saying all the right things to your face but in fact she is awful. No support, if you are not on side with her and don't do as she asks she will make sure you are downgraded at your review - thats where HR get involved and a load of lies is fed to HR by the manager. You generally work for 2-3 managers - they are very supportive and treat the assistants with respect, however they do not have much of a say - the overall assistant manager says what should go in your review - she literally overrides them. I had an awful experience with the culture at Capital, eventually, they asked me to quietly leave. I am not the first, in the last 2 years I have seen many assistants been signed off sick or "let go" of. Avoid this place at all costs.
