Salary, benefits. perks. Probably would have been very fairly compensated.

Cons

I interviewed with this company. Beat out 7 people for a position. Interview twice. They loved me, (I had work there previously on contract). I was offered the job signed 19 documents. given a start date. Then all of a sudden they want references. I gave 6 solid references, mostly working, management folks. They told me I had developmental needs. Really. I am 59, I think this says it all. Offer was rescinded.

Great benefits, excellent retirement packages, and nice headquarters.

Cons

Corporate politics runs rampant. The different units are not aligned in activity or P&L. Middle management is more concerned with keeping their jobs and getting to retirement than taking risks to advance their units. Too much finger pointing. Behind in employee efficiency technology (project management tools, CRM, etc). Focuses more on keeping up with competition as opposed to innovation. Too big to move quickly with business decisions and every decision needs multiple sign-offs at multiple levels.
