The worst mistake of my professional career. I believed their boasts, the positivity Citizen promotes, inclusion, good news stories and a caring attitude towards their employees. In reality, some of the worst employees I have ever met. Everything is too much trouble, lots of blame, inconsistencies, and 'not my job'. Customers are treated appalling. A disturbing experience, where the majority of employees are in it for the money, not the customer experience.

Free breakfast on Fridays is about all. And also lots of restaurants to choose from on Uber eats. Yum yum

I passionately care about this company, our team members, and our customers. It’s unfortunate you had this experience, but I’d like to start by clarifying a few things. Firstly, as an employee that was with us for a year, you should know that we proudly provide our FAFSA assistant to students for free! We care very much about our users, and that is why it is important to offer this product free for all. Our users have been hugely helpful in suggesting features for our development roadmap. We continuously look for ways to enhance employee benefits and experiences. Breakfast is just one of the many perks we offer, like a fully stocked snack cabinet and participation in the recent Corporate Run. We also proudly sponsor health and dental benefits for our employees. As a startup it’s difficult for us to spend more resources on flashy perks, but we’re working hard to get there! At Citizen, each team member wears many hats. We encourage employees to go outside of their comfort zone by learning new skills and contributing to different areas of the business. We offer training and resources to everyone, and we wish we could have addressed this with you while you were still here. We are taking your feedback seriously and addressing your concerns.
