Pros

A few amazing people on a personal level (probably left by now) Nice office

Cons

Where to start! Deep breathe.... Ok..... We have a CEO that waffles and doesn’t give a direct answer. A COO that spends 6 months trying to get a new entity of Clarify off the ground, but comes back with “I went to x amount of companies, told them what I thought, and they all told me to go away”......... great work. An MD that by far misses crucial leadership qualities and focuses on making examples of people that leave and dismisses major concerns that effect his staff and overall the whole operation. A couple of client directors that have no hold on their programs whatsoever, but blame their understaff or at times dismisses their staff if they lose a programme (similar comments below due to cutting overheads quickly as a good number of employees are only there for less than 2 years and do not retain certain employee rights). Program managers pulled from each angle to keep their directors above water. Senior BD’s that are solely in the position because they sit at their desk whilst having lunch, not based on performance or REAL positive impacts. Did not set correct expectations of the role. You will be completely managed and closely monitored. Commission scheme - commissions con You have to not only hit you individual target, you also have to obtain a host of different loop holes in a score card, then also ensure you complete individual rocks, to get 70% commissions in that quarter. The majority of which is not in your control. This means there is 5734478865 ways they can dismiss your bonus. The 30% is gained as a team or business unit. This consists of elements that again are not in your control, other members must hit targets and if not, again you will not get your commissions. Values that they most certainly do not take seriously. Over sell to their client and continually under deliver. They have multiple ears on the ground around the office making a really uncomfortable atmosphere. State they don’t micro manage, but most certainly do. Activity, calls, emails, admin admin admin. Continuous meetings, for the follow up meeting, regarding the meeting you previously had. Hindering the ability to actually get on and work. Try to brainwash and mould you to their ways of working and become extremely defensive if you make suggestions. Do not support nor continue a good development path, this consists of a “what good looks like” that they do not adhere to. I watched over 20 people come and go whilst being there (9 months), this is a company that has 80 staff and is struggling to create 5m revenue in 15 years!!! This creates a forever changing office atmosphere, with people leaving and new victims joining. A real “in the circle” atmosphere, as if you do not get on well with others, you will quickly be kicked out. They say you may work from home, but don’t allow you to. You will come across individuals allowed to work from home weekly, but not all staff get the same love and affection. All in all, THE worst company I have ever worked for and wish I could go back in time and save my efforts. This was not a professional progressive path, nor a side step, simply a waste of time for their own gain.

Hideous company

Pros

- New office - Monthly commission available

Cons

- Ironically they hired a Chief People Officer (who doesn't spend any time with the people), invested in HR resources and 'progression plans' but their attrition rate quickly rocketed. - Constantly changing commission rules in order to pay less out to employees (due to needing to save cost). - The management had a fair few court cases with both ex-employees and customers for various reasons. - Due to this they don't like to keep many employees for more than 2 years so that individuals don't have the statutory right to claim unfair dismissal anymore. - Sells the fact that employees are quite autonomous and provide high quality over quantity leads but one of the managers to go around with a clipboard, forcing everyone to make more calls akin to a call centre. - If they like someone who isn't very good at the core job, they promote them to programme managers which would be quite an unnecessary job role if they have good BDMs. - Quote from former client "Despite the mild manner of the CEO, it's clear that she is money hungry. I felt that I was being conned and now it's clear that I was being conned". - They put on an impressive show to customers with wining and dining but behind the scenes, it's just a room full of over-worked and stressed telephone monkeys.

We take all feedback and reviews regarding Clarify very seriously and as a strong values led business I was really concerned by some of the comments you have made, particularly those relating to our ethics and conduct. Having worked at Clarify for over 3 years I have not experienced or witnessed any of the issues you have raised. We have also shared this review with the wider business and have had many individual emails back to say how disappointed they were with what has been said, and how this is absolutely not the business they recognise. I would be keen to discuss this feedback further, please reach out on kjoyce@clarifybd.com

Pros

You can make great friends so you can all get together and have a right all moan about how poorly this business is now run.

Cons

Where to begin? PAY - the disparity between people doing the same job is astonishing. Also if you're looking for a sales job to make money on commission don't waste your time here. £333 a month if you hit your target PLUS they make you do a million and one other things which have ZERO impact on your job, just another way to not pay you anything. Management - haven't got a clue how to do the job, they promote people who fall in line and follow the ridiculously unnecessary process so that they can all be in a click together and fool their clients Back room staff - they get rid of one person and then bring in 3 people to replace them, treating them like peasants and unless your liked personally you've not got a hope in hell here. The things i've heard people say and do to each other is border line against human rights. Legally - This cowboy firm will try and change everyone's contracts just so they can do over one person. HR - Are they even sure they know what HR is? This person is never in the office, virtually uncontactable by any means, cannot get anything to you on time. Constant corrections and wrong dates, names, letters being sent out without being checked. AND to top it all off they run and tell the person you've complained about that you've complained about them making the ALREADY TOXIC workplace a burning pit of hell to be in. The CEO when I joined 2 years was involved and cared about everyone, but now it just seems like they have their favorites and couldn't give a monkey's about anyone else. I feel so sorry for anyone that ends up going to work here, because honestly you've missed the best part about it, which was 2/3/4 years ago before they snowballed and didn't put any process in place.
