Pros

The people are amazing, the work is rewarding and the end result is what this organisation is all about. What is the benefit to clients? This is the fundamental question to answer in everything we do. You are empowered, supported and valued with all the benefits you would imagine from a great organisation.

Cons

At some point, we all have to leave - I will miss it when this day comes.

Pros

Great product that's superior to the competition. Customers are down to earth and pleasant to work with (mostly IT people in school districts). Company has potential to grow.

Cons

CEO micromanagement interferes with the job. Sales reps backstab each other. Senior staff not penalized for bad behavior (racist jokes, harassment). Low pay. You are expected to take calls and check emails during off hours.

Pros

You will learn a lot and get a great resume Great environment Good work-life balance (most days) Nice and friendly people - you will likely make lasting friends Management are usually very nice and fun people Benefits are decent PTO is fairly good I would definitely recommend this company for someone looking to start out in software development. You will learn a lot and the company will help you train and learn new things. Your coworkers and the CTO are fun and like to help you out when needed. I didn't meet anyone at the company I didn't like. You should be able to maintain a pretty good work life balance without micromanagement.

Cons

Salary (long term) May need to work long days near releases Not always being acknowledged for your hard work and long days Little to no opportunity for advancement as a developer - other positions offer more advancement Unfortunately, as much as you might like the company, it doesn't generally offer a path that is sustainable long term. The initial salary offering is decent when you are new, but after a few years at the company the salary offered is way below market value. The only way to advance would be to go into management . Additionally, if you feel like you really made a difference at the company, be prepared for the higher ups to get all the credit and you to rarely be acknowledged for all your hard work.
