Pros

none under the compass pointe name. The employees truly loved the residents despite the fact that they were being treated so poorly by the management company.

Cons

Brought in as a new management company Upper management was a joke. High turnover at corporate offices, emoyers were either quitting or being fired because they could see how poorly the company was being managed. Brought the morale of a very positive successful team of employees to a halt. Did not care about employees or the residents, was all about the money they were making. Did not pay vendor bills to the point that services were being cut off and utility companies threatening to shut down. Employee benefits not being paid. Worst management company to work for.

Terribly mismanaged company!

Pros

Many of the employees are great people to work with.

Cons

Management is so incredibly inept it defies imagination. There is absolutely no cash, so vendors do not get paid unless they have forced a regular payment plan - all others that have nothing to repossess or cut off are out of luck, and utilities and other vendors are constantly putting the company on credit hold. The managers have absolutely no idea how to manage nursing homes or people. The only place I have ever worked where employees walk out without any notice - and I mean even Director level employees - one after just 2 weeks - and if you do give notice they will not accept it, one person they embarrassingly forced to leave after she gave notice and refused to pay her vacation accrual payout. They truly have no scruples and do not care one whit about the people that work for them or the vendors that provide services and products. Worst place I have ever worked in my life. Benefits are terrible and expensive, not remotely competitive for the area. Expensive very high deductible insurance, no employer paid disability insurance, and unaffordable to self pay, 2 weeks vacation, 4 weeks notice required to get vacation payout and then they do not honor that. Morale is dismal and layoffs are imminent as they are forced to sell off facilities due to mismanagement. No way can they continue to lose so much money forever - dues will need to be paid and the employees and vendors will pay dearly. Upper management will take care of each other, of course.

Frustrating people to work for

Pros

I loved my part of the job...and I enjoyed working with the communities.

Cons

Upper management does not seem to care about their employees...this would be employees within the corporate department. Seem to be lots of turnover with the upper management. Making money seemed to be their reason for existence and not "...because everyone deserves great care!" (their tagline)
