Pros

I believe the Contiki London workplace is what it is because of the Managing Director, Christopher Treloggen. He is extraordinary at being the office together and ensuring team camaraderie.

Cons

All positive experiences during my time.

Pros

Clear company values and directives. Good structure in teams, experienced processes, and practice motivating staff to encourage teams to be singing from the 'same song sheet'. Good use of technology and constantly looking to invest and analyze to improve processes. Well informed member of staff through technology, reviews, and in person group briefings, meetings and one-on-one updates. Brand loyal team mates who want the best of clients, brand and teammates. In-house training and external upskilling available. Investment in volunteering days, community projects and sustainability research/implementation in business practice (in travel industry that can be a challenge). Good amount of travel for work involved and potential for you to request more. Good travel discounts and perks for annual leave and an ability to work remotely for a set amount of time in the calendar year. Flexibly working arrangements. Good HR practices and transparent review processes. High performance expectations but Heads of Departments lead by good examples. Social experiences outside of work hours offered throughout the year with simple things like team lunches to nights out and quiz nights and half-days off together playing darts or bowling, mini golf or scavenger hunts - having fun is important to the business.

Cons

Long days in summer, very stressful peaks in the calendar year. 24/7 availability in Operations (from March through October). Work/life balance can sometimes blur through the seasons - I need to exercise more and log off outside of work hours as a part of my 'every day' - but that is a reflection of me and not the company as a whole.
