Pros

I liked I was able to work when I wanted

Cons

The company did not pay me on time and cut me a check that bounced. The replacement check they issued was not signed. I submitted my route sheets and notes on time but they never seemed to be able to find them even after being sent certified mail. I only worked one 4-6hr shift a week but they still didn't seem to be able to pay me. Finally had to refuse to work before they cut me the check. When I finally quit working for them they didn't schedule a different nurse or let the patient's family know they didn't have it staffed.

Continuity Care Home Nurses has been in business more than 25 years. I am unaware of a "bounced check" for any employee. We do pay employees per the pay schedule and appreciate those field nurses that comply with the weekly paperwork requirement. The lesson from this posting is to send the notes in timely and communicate with office staff. If you quit with no notice then it takes time to line up another staff member. I am sorry you had a negative experience. We cut 150+ checks every two weeks and most staff in the field have been here many years (some over 10 years). Most are getting paperwork in weekly per Agency standard then getting paid per the pay schedule. I am unaware of this situation of you getting a bounced check and another check with no signature. Most office staff have been here more than 10 years and are familiar with agency policy. Best to get documentation in weekly and make sure to familiarize yourself with pay schedule.

Pros

Not good to work here.

Cons

I was sent to work for a patient but when I came there I was sent home. They said the office has no caregiver to work. My time and gas was wasted.

We do pay show up time if you were staffed on a case and sent home. I would advise you to contact the staffers weekly to update your availability. We are open 7AM to 7PM and have TWO On Call staffing coordinators at night for both offices. It is critical for both the staffers AND the field nurses to communicate weekly to make sure schedule is correct and you are aware of your schedule. We are a very busy agency with a lot of cases so it is important to communicate with our office staff to make sure you are aware of your schedule. I am sorry you had this experience and I am available to you to discuss this if needed. Thank-you for your feedback.
