I worked at Costa part-time for more than a year

    Pros

Great team members and people. Great training. You have to be very quick. Wages are not bad at all.

    Cons

However, I had 24 hours contract and my manager changed it to 30 hours without my knowledge. Then I found it in my contract that Costa keeps a right to change our contract at any time. Work/life balance is a myth. Poor pension contributions. Most of the customers are very rude when there is not enough of staff and everything has to be rushed. Regardless of the store size (ours was 2 floors) you always have only 2 people to do openings and closings. Very stressful environment on busy days. 9-10 hour shifts on the weekends. Lots of favoritism. Some of the area managers need a check up with reality when coming from completely different industries.
