      Hard Work

      Jul 5, 2021 - Store Manager

      Pros

Can adapt the schedule to meet out of work commitments and social events. Salary for hospitality is okay. Hard working store teams.

      Cons

Absolutely not enough staff with all the new added extras - deliveroo, just east, collect etc. Due to this you often find yourself working considerable extra hours and not getting a break just to stay on top of workload and making work/like balance very poor. Help and understanding from middle/upper management and head office is the worst of any company I've worked for. Unachievable targets & a significant reduction in work benefits since coca-cola have taken the overall "salary to work" ratio no longer being market leading - or even close.

Pay is not proportionate to the stress

      Pros

The teams are usually great and so are your managers.

      Cons

Head office wants you to basically sell your soul for £9 an hour. They require more and more especially during such a hard time of COVID and not only did we not get any extra pay for the number of new tasks but we also got slammed with 50p drinks promotions and cut hours so the teams are discouraged and everyone's mental health is suffering. You have no work live balance, they call and change shifts at the last minute so it's impossible to plan anything and at the end of the month, despite being "full time" I barely have enough money for my bills. Also, don't fall for the full-time spiel, it's usually around a 30h contract, and yes you will get some extra hours if it's busy but they have absolutely no problem cutting hours to the legal minimum they can get away with.
