Pros

Intelligent people to work with (but declining day by day)

Cons

Worst HR. They have no experience of the industry. They are there to torture employees with their rules. You will be forced to enter at 11 am or you will be charged with half day / full day leave. But there is no time to leave the office. You will have to wait till 10-11 pm at least 2-3 times a week and sometimes even up to 12. But irrespective of what time you leave, you have to reach office by 11 am next day. Bad machines to work on. Most startups of this size or smaller will give you Macbook but these people give you some junk laptops. No lunch/dinner provided. Snacks are extremely unhealthy. There is no food in the pantry but only Parle-G biscuits everyday. Other biscuits and drinks are reserved only for admin, HR and senior people. They do not want to spend any money on their employees. Because of this everyone is frustrated and no one really cares about the company. Because of all this frustration most of the people have quit the company (even some in the top management). And many others have already started looking out for jobs. Too much hierarchy based.

Pros

Good, friendly and smart people.

Cons

Too many to list. No respect for tech people. They think they can get all work done by managers. Worst laptops for developers. The screen literally freezes as you type or open a new window or test your code. Very frustrating. Very bad and slow internet. I have seen some of my co-workers even bang their laptop out of frustration. The internet often keeps disconnecting like every hour or so. Very frustrating. Hierarchical discrimination. Based on your designation you will be discriminated by the HR, pantry staff, management. Only management enjoy special benefits. I was once told in the pantry that special biscuits and chocolate powder is reserved only for management and admin people and rest can eat Parle-G biscuits. Disgusting! No food in pantry. They will keep telling everyone that they have a lot of food in the pantry. Lies. There is only soft drink and that too from a local brand. In the morning if you reach even 5 mins late than the only breakfast they serve 365 days a year - bread-butter will also be over. They will treat you like school children. No startup benefits. But they expect you to work extra like a startup. If you come slightly late, then you will be told to take a half day irrespective of how late you have to stay everyday. Most of the smarter guys are leaving because of such policies. HR is the worst. They only boss around and don't care about employee satisfaction. Negative emotions everywhere. Everyone is frustrated with the management. Unless they rectify their mistakes this company is going down.

Pros

- Good technology stack to work on - Smart and helpful engineers around - Good office to work in

Cons

These are mostly applicable to the tech-division of Coverfox. (It's just my observations that I've seen for close to 1 year. All the points may or may not affect everyone) - HRs instead of looking after employee's queries, is always behind pleasing the senior management. - No work life balance. Most of the times you will be under pressure. Alternate Saturday's are working. They might ask you to come on other Saturdays as well. On the website they say that on Saturday's they do some cool stuff like working on their blog and stuff but it's all a lie. - Their priorities of tasks ahead change almost every week. Very bad planning by the managers and they try to pass on the blame to the leads or other dev. - Poor machines to work on. Very bad internet connection. Although managers are given macbooks for some reason. - They say there is always a lot of food around. But that's not true. There is hardly anything in the pantry most of the times. Coffee machine has milk powdered unhealthy coffee. They had replaced this by a natural milk dispensing machine but it was then removed because one or two senior people didn't like it. - Snacks are served at 7. Seriously I don't know who serves snacks so late. Probably they feel there will be less people at this hour and they can save on some money. Snacks are extremely unhealthy. They had started serving fruits in between but again since one or two senior people did not like it, they stopped it. - They even try to save on tissue papers in the washrooms by not replacing them once they get over. Pathetic! I don't know whether they are in such dire need of funds or it is just negligence.
