Average, there are worse companies and there are better ones.
Pros
Nice people, good inviting friendly atmosphere, fairly flexible working time (can leave at 3pm on Fridays). Some of the higher managers (especially those who joined Croda from another companies rather then got promoted through Graduate Scheme) are very accessible, open minded and innovative.
Cons
Double standards (benefits, salaries, working flexi time differs between sites in UK not only worldwide). No much room to progress. If you have a PhD, forget about this being appreciated in any way (neither title nor higher salary). People who have not been on Graduate Scheme earn much less than those who were on the scheme even if doing the same job. Graduates also have pay rises in contract and get promoted over the people who were not on the scheme (even the one with experience from another company and/or PhD).
