I worked at DNEG full-time for less than a year

    Pros

Great location in London. The office is really nice, with a ground floor coffee shop and kitchens on each floor. There is free breakfast items and free pizza & beer on the last friday of every month. They also do a new employee breakfast once a month.

    Cons

Salary wasn't high enough for London. Offices can be quite small

I have been working at DNEG part-time for more than 8 years

    Pros

None at the moment, wave after wave of bad news.

    Cons

Went from being a relatively nice and inspiring place to work (in VFX terms) to a place that only revolves around making money

I worked at DNEG full-time for less than a year

    Pros

Much better work/life balance than in other studios. They try not to overwork their employees aiming for 8 hour days only unless it's for a short crunch time. The building is great, with nice kitchens to sit down and have a break, and fresh fruit and other breakfast options.

    Cons

We would sit in small rooms of 4-8 people, but based on project instead of department. Which unfortunately meant that I as an animator shared a room with two compositors and two FX people. Who all preferred to sit in a dark room, with headphones on not talking all day long. Animation is usually more of team based effort, were you discuss your shots with fellow animators, act them out give each other feedback, this was impossible here. I din't even get to meet other animators from my project apart from my lead and my Supervisor. After a few month I asked to be relocated explaining that I was unhappy with my situation, just to be moved to another room with the same set up. Still no fellow animators and no one talked all day long.
