Wonderful people who want to serve and make a difference are drawn to this organization.
Cons
Toxic environment that trickles down from the top. They focus on rescue numbers to the detriment of the quality of care. The founder does not believe in the importance of trauma-informed care. He believes that only rescue is necessary. Poor aftercare ends up negatively affecting the girls in their care as their trauma is not always addressed.

We are sorry to hear about your experience working in the organisation.
We acknowledge that 2019 was a year full of change and adjustment, however it prepared us well for what was to come in 2020 when a lot of governments around the world shut down many aftercare services because of lockdowns.
Our mandate as an organisation is to rescue children. We now have a variety of options for when it comes to developing someone’s ‘Pathway to Freedom’ which could mean residential, community based or some other form of aftercare and vocational pathways.
We have recently engaged a monitoring and evaluation specialist who will be working on our ability to show further impact on the lives that are being rescued.
Should you wish to discuss this more, please reach out to the DR team in your country of residence.

Incompetent leadership, below average pay, and they are destructive in their efforts. None of what they promote about the services they provide are honest. This organization does more harm than good. I witnessed their highly questionable rescue and aftercare tactics firsthand.

Should you wish to discuss this further, please get in contact with the DR team in the country that you reside in.

Thank you for being part of our team back in 2014. We are pleased that you felt part of our mission.
We are sorry to hear you had a less than satisfactory onboarding experience; over the past few years, we have spent a considerable amount of time working on our onboarding processes and improving HR, and the feedback we have received in the past 2-3 years has been very encouraging.
